Have you ever felt like you have too much of a good thing? Whether it's a new job, a new relationship, or a new season in life, sometimes having too much of a good thing can be overwhelming. I have experienced this recently, with two long term goals realized, bringing a lot of busy with them. Here are three tips for coping with awesomeness overwhelm…
Prioritize and Set Boundaries
When you have too many good things going on at once, it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement and try to do everything at once. This can quickly lead to burnout and exhaustion. To avoid this, it's important to prioritize and set boundaries.
· Make a list of what you need to accomplish.
· Prioritize them based on what's most important to you
· Set boundaries around your time to ensure that you're not over-committing yourself
Practice Mindfulness
When you're feeling overwhelmed with too many good things, it can be easy to get caught up in your thoughts and emotions. Practicing mindfulness can help you stay grounded and present in the moment.
At least once a day, make time to focus on your breath in the present moment and let go of any thoughts or emotions that come up. This can help you feel calmer and more centered.
Ask for Help
Ask for help when you need it. Whether it's asking a trusted friend or family member for support or hiring a professional coach to help you manage your time and priorities, there's no shame in asking for help. An outside perspective can be very helpful.
Remember, having too many good things in your life is a blessing, but it can also be a challenge. By prioritizing, practicing mindfulness, and asking for help when you need it, you can gain clarity and peacefulness, stress less and choose joy.
